River Trail Ride

I took a short bike ride down the Three Rivers Heritage Trail in
Southside yesterday to snap a few photos of the bridges and scenery.

10th Street Bridge

Liberty Bridge

Smithfield Street Bridge

Station Square

Highmark Stadium: Home of the Riverhounds

The Duquesne Incline

I was hoping for a gorgeous sunset at the Point but it turned out to be
less than average so I headed home. I only have about 2 weeks left
in Pittsburgh now, I'll be relocating permanently to Cleveland at the
end of the month. I may have ridden these trails a hundred times but
I wanted to capture some memories before I leave them behind.

Woods Wedding Weekend: Part II The Day After

Sunday morning I woke up in Coalminer's Cafe and Inn.
Jason and I both had the day off so we decided to make a day
of the otherwise relatively quick trip back to Pittsburgh.

Time to hit the road!

We wanted to hunt for some flea markets and antique stores
on the way home, The local speedway had signs for a flea market but
turned out to only be a few sparse cars parked out in the infield with
tables set up. We decided to pass on it in favor of an antique store.

We hit the jackpot with this Grand Re-Opening. A table full of cookies
and pretzels and some delicious punch. Tons of cool stuff and a
door prize drawing. I left my camera in the car and, as usual, regret it.

Our last stop on the way home.

An abandoned church, full of chipping paint and dilapidated stairways.
It has been vacant for at least 25 years and was purchased in 2005
by a church hoping to restore the Gothic-style landmark. The Reverend
had unwavering faith at the time in their ability to rebuild.

"There is nothing too hard for God."

"I believe God will provide."

"And I believe that church is worth it."

"Every city in this country has a historic landmark. A landmark like that
in this city speaks to its survival, and to its courage and spirit."

"And by the grace of God, we're going to make it."

Baby Parker

I've known Alyssa for 6 years now.
Her daughter Parker is 6 weeks old.

Such a surreal feeling to remember seeing a positive pregnancy test
in my own bedroom and now be looking at a tiny human being.

She is absolutely beautiful and I'll be trying to get
some portraits of her as soon as possible! Congrats guys!

Woods Wedding Weekend: Part I

Saturday morning I woke up in the back of a CR-V with Jason.
One of my best friends of many years was getting married, the Bridal Party
room was a bit small for 4 people, so I offered to camp out.

A beautiful start to an amazing day!

Green Gables in Jennerstown, PA.

A gorgeous rustic venue and hotel deep in the woods, covered in ivy
and surrounded by cedar and pine trees. I spent some time exploring
the grounds while Sara got ready for the big day.

With her hair and makeup done I wanted to get a few pictures
of her before we headed over to the dressing rooms.

Ladies, this is how you do a flower crown.

Time to get the flower girl ready!
She was so excited for her dress and her own matching baby's breath wreath.

I wish I could have had my camera in hand all day but bridesmaid
duties called and I suppose someone was being paid to do this already.

A few more shots from the after party then it was time for us to
hike back up the hill to our room for the night.

Congratulations and absolute best wishes for a lifetime to Derek and Sara!

Sunday turned out to be an awesome day-off adventure for us too.
Part II will be coming up soon, come back and see what we got into!
